Sessions are informal and relaxed, using natural light wherever possible, and taken within the comfort of your own home or another familiar location (maybe a favourite park) which is often a good option, especially when working with younger children, as they tend to feel more at ease in their own environment.
A session lasts around 2 hours and will involve lots of playing and mucking about. I aim for these sessions to be fun and enjoyable for your family. I like to use natural light, so we will often be outside unless it is pouring with rain for the duration of the shoot!
I recommend photographing newborns within the first 12 days of being born – when they’re still deliciously wrinkly and curled up! This way I will hopefully get some lovely sleepy shots. It also means that we can move your baby around without disturbing them too much. This doesn’t mean that I won’t photograph them outside of this (and I photograph babes at varying ages – some parents prefer them a little more awake anyway), it’s just to give you an idea, especially if you’re wanting those fresh fresh newborn shots!
As with all portrait sessions, newborn sessions take place in your home and are designed to be very relaxed. I work around the needs of your baby, allowing plenty of time for feeding, changing and cuddling. I only use natural light, so will be looking to find a space close to a window to photograph your baby. The only thing I ask of you is to ensure you have the house nice and warm – especially during the colder months – so that your fresh little bundle can be kept warm and snug as most of the session will be done in just a nappy.

Your photographs will be available to view within 2 weeks of your session via an online proofing gallery. From here you can make your selections.
A 20% deposit is required to reserve your session. Full payment of the session fee is required on the day of the shoot. Payment for extra prints is due at the time of ordering.
In the case of illness, please contact me as soon as possible to reschedule.
Additional prints are available to purchase and start at £35.00 for a 10″x8″ print.
Framing is also available with prices starting at £70.00 for a 10″x8″ print.
